Avery Elle Challenge

So, I feel like I never have enough time to make extra cards--other than the ones I make for the design teams I'm on. It's nice I was actually able to sit down today and make a card for Avery Elle's latest Watercolor Challenge. I am a huge fan of all Avery Elle products. They're super fun and adorable and just plain original! Hopefully soon, I'll be teaching a class here at one of the local craft shops using just Avery Elle products. I'm super excited!! Anyways--on to the challenge.

For the card I made, I first watercolored the base of the card. I then took a piece of scrap white cardstock with the set Happy Spring and stamped my sentiments. I placed it on the base with foam dots. For an added touch, I used some new, adorable sequins I received from one of the local shops here in San Diego! The ink is also Avery Elle (minus the black). That pigment ink is amazing and dries super fast!!!

On a side note--I'm so ready for my camera to come back. I sent it off Feb 15, got it back March 15 and it still wasn't fixed so I sent it off again that same day to have it "fixed" again. Hopefully it'll be ready this go around when they send it back. Anyways, thank you so much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday

**Just to add a little before we get to the card, I just wanted to apologize for the crappy quality of this picture. My camera broke :( and it's currently in the shop**

Here's a card I made for Avery Elle's first challenge for their new challenge blog! It's birthday themed and here's what I came up with. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Avery Elle Guest Designer

Hey there! Today's my last day guest designing for Avery Elle. I have to thank Jamie for allowing me to guest design with them which was tons of fun. :)

For my last card, I used Love Notes. I took a piece of patterned cardstock and a piece of white card stock, temporarily taped them together and cut them to a standard A2 card face. While still taped together, I stamped my images and sentiments. After I was finished stamping, the patterned cardstock was adhered to a card base while the white cardstock was popped up on foam dots. For a finishing touch, I rounded the corners and added some flat sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you soon!! :)

Avery Elle Guest Desinger: Love Notes

Today I'm back with another awesome set released at Avery Elle. It's called Love Notes and it's absolutely amazing! It's probably one of my new favorites for sure.

I wanted to make a one dimensional card (minus the sequins of course) and this set is perfect for the job. This set is ideal for lovey dovey, Valentine's Day card. It's definitely a set I will return to over and over again.

Make sure to stop by the Avery Elle shop and see all of their new releases. I need every stamp set released this month. They are just that good! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. It always means so much! :)

Hi there! It's been forever since I posted.  I've been on vacation but I'm finally back! I'm guest designing this month for Avery Elle and my oh my, they have some awesome products up their sleeves this month! Let's just get to it!

Today I'm showcasing one of their stamp sets, Circle It.

For the first card, I wanted to make something that could be used for any time of celebration. I thought this would be perfect for New Years.

For my second card, I wanted to make a Christmas one of course! This sentiment is absolutely perfect!

So there's my cards and I hope you go on to the other blogs to see theirs as well :)

Avery Elle Challenge

Today I'm joining Avery Elle's Challenge. We were to come up with a card based on this sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch.

The stamp I used Happy Camper. I first stamped the mountains on some masking paper. After placing the mountains the way I wanted them, used distress and hero shadow inks to blend the sky. I then colored the mountains with Copics. I then used Simon Says Stamps banner die and stamped the sentiment on it. For a finishing touch, I added dash lines, cropped the edges and added glitter to the tops of the mountains.

Here's a close up! :)

I'm also entering this into Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge! Thank you so much for stopping by!
