Runway Inspired Challenge #53

Time is flying by so fast! Here's the next challenge for the RIC! Isn't that dress gorgeous?! Below is my take on the dress!

I used the Mendhi set from Lil Inker Designs. I'm in LOVE with this set! I colored the flowers with Copics and then went back with a VersaMark pen to fill in some spaces. I then covered those spots with gold embossing powder. I really like how the card turned out.

Well make sure you stop by all the other designer's blogs!! There are some gorgeous projects lined up! :)

Lil Inker Release Day 1

Hey there!! Today's release day over at Lil Inker! Some awesome products were released today and I have some fun projects to show you! :)

For my first, I used Anytime Tags Die set and also Stay Beautiful Stamp set. These tag dies are to die for, literally! There's every perfect size, from big to small.

To start this card off, I cut a few strips of black cardstock. I glued them onto a base diagonally. Next I die cut a piece of vellum and patterned cardstock.  On top of the vellum, I heat embossed the sentiment. This set has so many wonderful, uplifting quotes. I tied the two pieces together with hemp twine and popped them up with foam dots.

For an extra little touch, I added sequins... of course!! :P

For my next project I used the new Stitched Hearts die set! ADORABLE! I die cut several pieces from various patterns. Also using the Flags and Tags Dies, I cut a piece of vellum and cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using the Spot On stamp set and heat set it.

There's a hop going on today! Make sure to visit all of the other blogs! There's a ton of inspiration available! :) Here's the hop list!

Mama Elephant Challenge

So I have some AWESOME news! I made another Design Team! I'm now a member over at Neat and Tangled Stamps. I am just so excited about this opportunity! I have always been in love with her stamps! I guest designed over there a few months back and just fell in love with her product. This year is just off to a great start!!! :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just fallen in love with Mama Elephant Stamps. They are so perfect for my kind of style. Very simple and sweet! :)  They're having their first ever challenge and I just had to participate!

I'm in love with the different shades of pink in the inspiration photo so that's what I wanted to do with mine. I used the stamp set, Tree Friends to create this card. I stamped the image and colored it with Copics.

When I was finished coloring, I wanted to add a little dimension by adding white enamel dots to the center of some flowers. I also popped up a heart underneath the sentiment! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Runway Inspired Challenge #52

Another Runway Inspired Challenge went up today and it's a beauty! I had so many different ideas going through my head as I was planning out my card. Of course I went with a clean and simple approach.

For my card, I took the different inks I wanted to use and swiped them across a piece of cardstock. I then took an alphabet die set and die cut the word "thanks" from the different colors. With the same dies, I ran them through my Big Shot three more times on regular white cardstock. I glued the matching letters together to get a raised effect. I stamped my sentiment and a cute little heart.  Finally I rounded the corners! Easy and cute!! I'm thinking of recreating this card for Easter! The colors are perfect for the upcoming Spring season!

Ellen Hutson is sponsoring today's challenge! So make sure to play along to be able to win. I can't wait to see what you create! As always, thank you for stopping by!

RIC #51

This new year is starting off great so far! A new job interview and a new design team! I am so excited to be joining the Runway Inspired Challenge! I've loved playing along with them for quite some time so becoming a design team member was like the best news of the whole week!

Here was the inspiration photo for this challenge.

I wanted to focus mainly on the umbrella. I pulled out some distress inks and went to town blending a background. I spritzed it with some water which is hard to see in the photo.  For the die, I used a flower image from Memory Box. Originally I as going to pop everything up on clear foam adhesive but it just wasn't turning out like planned. I think it looks good still! The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. I can't wait for all of the other challenges to come! This will be an awesome opportunity and I'm so glad the RIC girls chose me! :)

Make sure to stop by the rest of the DTs blogs!!

Avery Elle Guest Designer

Hey there! Today's my last day guest designing for Avery Elle. I have to thank Jamie for allowing me to guest design with them which was tons of fun. :)

For my last card, I used Love Notes. I took a piece of patterned cardstock and a piece of white card stock, temporarily taped them together and cut them to a standard A2 card face. While still taped together, I stamped my images and sentiments. After I was finished stamping, the patterned cardstock was adhered to a card base while the white cardstock was popped up on foam dots. For a finishing touch, I rounded the corners and added some flat sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you soon!! :)
