Avery Elle September Challenge

Hi there! I feel like I haven't posted in a while. It's been super busy on my end with work and family visiting. Well I finally sat down and did a challenge. Today, I participated in Avery Elle's Challenge. I love her challenges. The photos are always so awesome! Here's the photo for this month.

For my take on the challenge, I wanted to use the colors.  For the main focal point, I took the large flower from Petals and Stems and gradient stamped it to get the same feel as the background. I then came in with the other stamps to add more color. The sentiment is from Handwritten Notes. For a final touch, I added clear sequins. :)

I'll also be entering this into Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes Challenge!

Lil Inker Halloween Card

Hi there! :) It's basically Fall--not here in San Diego though. It seems like there's no season changes. :/ Oh well. To help get me in the spirit, I made a fun Halloween card using a new die and stamp from Lil Inker Designs. I won a credit to the store during their past blog hop and I'm so excited I won! Thank you, Laura! :)

I love seeing your comments! :) And make sure to follow me! Link found to the right! I'll be entering this card in SSS's Challenge this week!

Bonus CAS with Sweet Stamp Shop

If you're coming over from Sweet Stamp Shop, welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by. I have two bonus cards for you!

On the first card, I used Fall Gratitude and the little round circles from Kiss Me.

For my inks, I used a variety of different Hero Arts Shadow Inks. They are my absolute favorite!

For my next card, I decided to go ahead and use the circles to make it look like confetti falling. I found the idea from an invitation on Pinterest, of course! :)

September Release at Sweet Stamp Shop

The day we've all been waiting for is finally here!! It's release day over at Sweet Stamp Shop! I'm so super excited to show you the awesome sets that are being released today. I know you're just going to love them. :)

First we have Super Mom. Tell me this set isn't adorable!! So many options!

For the second set, we have Easily Distrated. I seriously LOL'd when I saw this set! It is so me! :)

Last, we have a mini stamp set, Made By #2! Perfect for the backs of cards.

Can't you see why I was so excited for the release!? Below are some projects I wanted to share with y'all. :)

For the first card, I used distress and shadow inks with daubers. It's a fun blending technique that's really easy to do to get dramatic backgrounds and such. I then stamped the build image repeatedly. I colored in the windows with a white gel pen to make them shine brighter. For a final touch, I added the emblem and banners!

For Easily Distracted, I decided to use the squirrel stamp. It's just too funny. Well I love doodling so I decided to draw up a squirrel I saw floating around on the internet and colored it with Copics. I'm always a fan of hand drawn images or sentiments on cards!! I shaped the stamp to go around my squirrel. I stamped a piece of kraft cardstock with versamark ink and attached it my drawing. For a final touch, I added a popped up acorn. :)

For the project below, I decided to do something a little different. I made my own gift bag! I made it from kraft cardstock. I also made a coordinating mini card to go along with it!

And don't forget to brand your work with our new mini set! ;)

Well I guess that's all I have to show you today! Wasn't it such a fun release!? Well make sure you get on over to the store and get your sets :) Oh, and how about this for fun! We have a 25% off coupon for you to use on these new sets! The code is NRS25.  Use this code till Thursday at noon PST!  So what are you waiting for!? Get on over there! Make sure you see the original release post found HERE
As always, thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to become a follower of my blog! :)

Sweet Stamp Shop September Sneak Peak

Hi Sweet Stamp Shop fans! Are you getting excited for the September release as much as I am? This release will seriously be amazing!!! We have three new awesome sets coming out and I'm here to give our special followers a first look at the set in action. It's called Super Mom! Here's a card I made using this stamp set!

To get the sky to look dark and dreary in the background, I used Hero Arts Shadow and Distress Inks and a dauber to blend everything in towards the center. I first used Soft Granite and Navy Shadow Inks. For the black, I used Black Soot Distress Ink.

This set is so fun, graphic and unlike any set I've seen on the market. That's what I love about Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps. They are always fresh, trendy and so unique! Make sure you join us on the blog September 10 to look at all the goodies! :) Join the event page on Facebook to get all of the latest updates on the big release!

Wplus9 and Runway Challenge :)

So I decided to join a couple of challenges today. The first one is for WPlus9 Monday's Mood Board. I love Dawn's boards. They are always so inspirational.

Here's my take on the photo.

and a close up! I used all WPlus9 stamps. Gosh, I'm in love with their stamps!

For the second challenge, I participated in the Runway Inspired Challenge

Maybe it was just me, but I felt like this pattern would go great on a man's card so I went with it! For the background, I used a set from Clearly Besotted and the mustache and sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp! Since I stamped my own background, I'm entering this into Clearly Besotted's Challenge!!

Well thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Keeping Halloween Simple

Hi! Kristen here! With football starting up, it feels like Fall is in the air and with Fall comes Halloween! Who doesn't love Halloween!? I sure do and I love making cards for Halloween as well! Sweet Stamp Shop has some adorable stamps just for this occasion. Of course my go to style is CAS so here's what I came up with.
For the first card, I used Mummy. It's a mini stamp and super inexpensive!

The inspiration I actually got for this card was from Kristina Werner's card found here. I just took the basic format of the card and incorporated Sweet Stamps!

For the second card, I used three different stamp sets: FrankWitch and Haunted House

I placed the stamps on the card with Memento Ink and colored them in with Copics.  To keep it super simple, I just added a cob web in the corner and for the inside of the card, I used the sentiment Trick or Treat! For the hair highlights, I used a white gel pen!

I hope this helped you get into the Fall spirit! Go out and make some awesome Halloween cards and post them to the Sweet Stamp Wall on Facebook! We love seeing your creations!

Who's joining us for the release this month!? It's in t-minus 8 days! Here's a little peek! Join the event on Facebook found here!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by! :) See you again, soon!
