Neat and Tangled: Hope Anchors

Hey y'all! I'm over at the Neat and Tangled blog showing you different ways to use the Hope Anchors stamp.

I used the same layout on every card, just different materials and colors!! Here's what I came up with. :)

All three cards have a different feel! For the first, I wanted to use a coral, mint and gold ink pallet. I'm a such a sucker for these colors!!

For the second card, I used different shades of grey. Actually, they are from Simon Says Stamps new release of inks. They're seriously the perfect shades! I wanted to create an ombre effect with this card.

For the last card, I used your typical nautical colors: navy and red. I just love the simplicity of this card!

Well that's it from me today! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! :)

Lil Inker Designs April Release Day 3

Today's the last day of the release blog hop! I'm going to be showing you two new products I have yet to show! First is an adorable stars die. It's purpose was to make adorable little fold out notecards but of course, I used it on a card! :) When I first saw the die, I thought to myself, Twinkle Twinkle little star and that's where I wanted to go with this card.

To start it off, I took a piece of blue cardstock and shaded the outsides of the card with Navy ink. With white ink, I stamped the stars using the star stamp from Quick Notes. I adhered the star die on foam dots. With a white gel pen, I hand drew my sentiment and added some dots to the background!

The next card I created is very clean and simple! I stamped the sentiment and image in black ink. With copic markers I colored the inside of the cookie. I then stamped the graduation cap, fussy cut around it and added a foam dot to the back to add some dimension. To finish off the card, I rounded the corners and added some sequins!

Below are the different sets I used to create these cards.

Here's the blog hop list!!!

RIC #58

This is my second post for today! To see the first, go HERE.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's another challenge over at the Runway Inspired Blog and we're teaming up with CAS(E) this sketch!

The inspiration photos are so great! Here's what I came up with! :)

First, I stamped the polka dots with a set from PTI. The sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop. I then cut a piece of black paper and ran it through my Big Shot with LID's Stitched Quilt die. For the flower, I took three pieces of different colored cardstocks and then pieced them together. I popped the flower up with foam dots and to finish the card off, I rounded the corners!

Just to let you know, I used Avery Elle inks. They are seriously amazing! I can not wait till they come out with more colors, at least I hope they do! :)

Well that's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Lil Inker Designs April Release Day 2

Today's the second day in the Lil Inker April Release Hop! I'm glad you came back today to visit. :) Today I'm showing you a card I made using two new products, Frames and Flowers Die set and Quick Notes. I'm in love with this die set. I can't get enough of it--and of course it was cut out of vellum. I guess I can't get enough of that either! The sentiment fits so perfectly on the inside of the frame! For the background, I took a bunch of different colored cardstocks that I felt worked well together and pieced them together! It's a very simple card to make but packs a punch at the same time :)

Here are the two Lil Inker products I used for this card!

Don't forget to go to all the other girls blogs--there's a gift card up for grabs!

I definitely recommend getting this one! I also recommend the flowers and frames die set! The possibilities are endless with these!! :)

Here are the different stamps and dies I used to create the two cards above!

Here's the blog hop! Make sure to stop by each one to make sure you get all your chances in to win a gift card to Lil Inker!!

Avery Elle Challenge

So, I feel like I never have enough time to make extra cards--other than the ones I make for the design teams I'm on. It's nice I was actually able to sit down today and make a card for Avery Elle's latest Watercolor Challenge. I am a huge fan of all Avery Elle products. They're super fun and adorable and just plain original! Hopefully soon, I'll be teaching a class here at one of the local craft shops using just Avery Elle products. I'm super excited!! Anyways--on to the challenge.

For the card I made, I first watercolored the base of the card. I then took a piece of scrap white cardstock with the set Happy Spring and stamped my sentiments. I placed it on the base with foam dots. For an added touch, I used some new, adorable sequins I received from one of the local shops here in San Diego! The ink is also Avery Elle (minus the black). That pigment ink is amazing and dries super fast!!!

On a side note--I'm so ready for my camera to come back. I sent it off Feb 15, got it back March 15 and it still wasn't fixed so I sent it off again that same day to have it "fixed" again. Hopefully it'll be ready this go around when they send it back. Anyways, thank you so much for stopping by!!

RIC # 57

Hello everyone! We have another Runway Inspired Challenge for you and it's a fun one. This challenge was a bit more challenging to me. As you can see, the dress is very busy and I'm just not a busy person but I stepped out of my comfort zone and here is what I came up with!

The card I feel is very involved but I like the way it turned out in the end. It's definitely different than my usual cards. Oh, and of course to top it all off, I added glitter the card front along with sequins for that extra pizazz!! ;) Make sure to stop by and see the rest of the Runway's inspiration!!
