RIC #64

Hi! I'll have two posts for you today. First is for the Runway Inspired Challenge and the second is for Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled Release! :)

I fell in love with the inspiration photo Jen provided for us! It's so fun and something I'd totally wear!

Here's what I created using one of Mama Elephant's stamps!

I first started by watercoloring the background purple. I then added stars in different colors all over the background. To finish it off, I added the sentiment in black ink. Here's a close up for you!

The white pigment ink wasn't actually showing up like I'd hoped so I went back in with my white gel pen and filled in the stars :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you definitely play along with us this week!

RIC #62

It's time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! Today we're using the photo below to help give us a little inspiration for a new paper project. I love the navy and silver, seems so classic. So I decided to create a very simple, classic card.

I first took a piece of navy cardstock and blended with a blending tool some navy ink around the edges. I then took a white piece of cardstock and die cut thanks from one of Lil Inkers newest dies. To finish the card off, I took a piece of scrap paper, added some silver embossing powder and die cut a little heart. To finish off the card, the heart was popped up on pop dots and I rounded the corners.

Here's a close up of the card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!! :)

RIC #60

Hi!! Today's another Runway Inspired Challenge day!! Yay! I always love these :) Here's the card I created.

I guess if you look at this inspiration photo, I didn't even include the skirt. I just couldn't help myself though. I loved these colors together so I kept it at that. The teal isn't even apart of the outfit o.O lol but I like how it turned out. All products excluding ink are from PTI.

Here's a close up photo, cause I love taking them I guess. :)

Leave me some love and make sure to become a follower if you aren't already!! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

RIC# 59

It's time for another Runway Inspired Challenge. Let's just get to the nitty gritty!

For my card, I used one of Sweet Stamp Shops stamps. This peony is just amazing. I remember telling Nicole (well suggesting really) that she needed to make a peony stamp set and voila! It was like magic. Everything I ever wanted in a stamp set was created!! Needless to say, I felt these stamps would go perfectly with the color scheme. The die of course is from Simon Says Stamp.

I just love the simplicity of the card. I guess I've always been fond of something simple! :)

Make sure to stop by the rest of the design teams blogs and see what they created!! Oh, and play along! An awesome gift card from Simon Says Stamp is available!! Don't want to miss out.

Thanks so much :)

RIC #58

This is my second post for today! To see the first, go HERE.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's another challenge over at the Runway Inspired Blog and we're teaming up with CAS(E) this sketch!

The inspiration photos are so great! Here's what I came up with! :)

First, I stamped the polka dots with a set from PTI. The sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop. I then cut a piece of black paper and ran it through my Big Shot with LID's Stitched Quilt die. For the flower, I took three pieces of different colored cardstocks and then pieced them together. I popped the flower up with foam dots and to finish the card off, I rounded the corners!

Just to let you know, I used Avery Elle inks. They are seriously amazing! I can not wait till they come out with more colors, at least I hope they do! :)

Well that's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by!

RIC # 57

Hello everyone! We have another Runway Inspired Challenge for you and it's a fun one. This challenge was a bit more challenging to me. As you can see, the dress is very busy and I'm just not a busy person but I stepped out of my comfort zone and here is what I came up with!

The card I feel is very involved but I like the way it turned out in the end. It's definitely different than my usual cards. Oh, and of course to top it all off, I added glitter the card front along with sequins for that extra pizazz!! ;) Make sure to stop by and see the rest of the Runway's inspiration!!

Isn't this photo gorgeous?! Awesome inspiration for the Runway Inspired Challenge. It was a lot of fun making my card and I hope you'll join in on the challenge. :)

For the background, I used a set from Mama Elephant. The roses are a set from PTI. The sentiment is from Avery Elle. I feel the card came together nicely and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Make sure to stop along all the blogs to see their great creations.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Runway Inspired Challenge

Today's another challenge day over at Runway Inspired. I love the dress above. It is so elegant and just absolutely gorgeous. For my project, I wanted to keep it simple. I focused on the gold and black and here's what I came up with.

I used a stamp set and die from PTI to create this card. I first took a piece of cardstock and die cut the ampersand. I then stamped the sentiments. On my cardbase, I took versark ink and rubbed it along the middle portion. I then added gold embossing powder and heat set it. I took my stamped piece of cardstock and popped it up on foam dots to create a more dimensional look. To finish off the card, I chomped the corners.

Oh--disclaimer. Please don't mind the poor quality photo. My camera pooped out on me the other day and it's in the shop getting fixed so it's iPhone pictures for the next couple of weeks. :(

Well that's about it for me today. I hope you've enjoyed!

RIC #54

Today is RIC day!! I just love the inspiration Jen had for us this week! I hope you do too! :)

Here's the card I came up with. Just a forewarning... the angle on my photo looks a bit wonky. Oops! lol

Anyways, I took a striped stencil and created my pattern with distress ink. I then took pieces of cardstock and layered them to create the stripes in the dress. To finish it off, I added a die cut from SSS, covered it with black enamel and added sequins. :)

Make sure to play along at the RIC! Can't wait to see what you came up with!!

Runway Inspired Challenge #53

Time is flying by so fast! Here's the next challenge for the RIC! Isn't that dress gorgeous?! Below is my take on the dress!

I used the Mendhi set from Lil Inker Designs. I'm in LOVE with this set! I colored the flowers with Copics and then went back with a VersaMark pen to fill in some spaces. I then covered those spots with gold embossing powder. I really like how the card turned out.

Well make sure you stop by all the other designer's blogs!! There are some gorgeous projects lined up! :)

Runway Inspired Challenge #52

Another Runway Inspired Challenge went up today and it's a beauty! I had so many different ideas going through my head as I was planning out my card. Of course I went with a clean and simple approach.

For my card, I took the different inks I wanted to use and swiped them across a piece of cardstock. I then took an alphabet die set and die cut the word "thanks" from the different colors. With the same dies, I ran them through my Big Shot three more times on regular white cardstock. I glued the matching letters together to get a raised effect. I stamped my sentiment and a cute little heart.  Finally I rounded the corners! Easy and cute!! I'm thinking of recreating this card for Easter! The colors are perfect for the upcoming Spring season!

Ellen Hutson is sponsoring today's challenge! So make sure to play along to be able to win. I can't wait to see what you create! As always, thank you for stopping by!

RIC #51

This new year is starting off great so far! A new job interview and a new design team! I am so excited to be joining the Runway Inspired Challenge! I've loved playing along with them for quite some time so becoming a design team member was like the best news of the whole week!

Here was the inspiration photo for this challenge.

I wanted to focus mainly on the umbrella. I pulled out some distress inks and went to town blending a background. I spritzed it with some water which is hard to see in the photo.  For the die, I used a flower image from Memory Box. Originally I as going to pop everything up on clear foam adhesive but it just wasn't turning out like planned. I think it looks good still! The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. I can't wait for all of the other challenges to come! This will be an awesome opportunity and I'm so glad the RIC girls chose me! :)

Runway Inspired Challenge

Hi there! I'm finally joining the Runway again for their latest challenge. Here was the inspiration photo!

For my take on the challenge, I definitely wanted to use stripes. I used two different stamps, one from Simon Says Stamp and the other from Avery Elle. The deer head is from Kelly Purkey's new release. Thanks die cut is from Simon Says as well. I covered the deer in black enamel to help it shine more! :)

Thanks for stopping by!! :)
